My personal website is finally getting some much-needed attention. I’ve revamped it using Wordpress. I still need to add content to all of the pages, but go check out the new look:

While watching Six Degrees on ABC last night, I heard a song in the background. I recognized the voice, but had never heard the song. I went to the iTunes Store and was pleased to find out that Amos Lee’s new album, Supply and Demand had been released. I’ve blogged about Amos Lee in the past (calling him the male version of Norah Jones).
The new album holds true to his folk songwriting style, but I was pleased that it’s a bit more upbeat than his last (very mellow) album. He’s definitely one of my favorite artists, and doesn’t seem to be very well known just yet. I highly recommend checking him out.
While on the iTunes Store, I browsed around a bit and came across Ben Taylor - the son of James Taylor and Carly Simon. I downloaded his latest album, and I like it a lot so far. Let me say that he sounds a LOT like his father - almost a little weird at times. I’m sure he may have hints of his mother’s singing style too, but I’ve never really listened to Carly Simon.
Good stuff.

I spent my free time today revamping The Point’s media site to a Wordpress format. It would’ve been ready this evening, but I ran into some formatting issues with the Sermons page. I’m looking to expand the content available on the media site by adding more praise band recordings, articles, bible study audio & notes from our Wednesday bible studies, and more. It’s my humble attempt to create The Point’s version of the Desiring God website.
The new format will enable me to update the content more easily and efficiently - always a good thing in my world.
I figured it was time for a new Wordpress theme for the ol’ blog. I’m pretty pleased with the new look! Let me know what you think…
I keep meaning to post pictures of my recent trip to Minnesota on my Flickr site. I took several pretty good shots, so hopefully, you’ll get to enjoy these soon….. Stay tuned…

Disclaimer: By blogging about progress on current web projects, I feel it obligates me to actually work on them. With that said….
From my list that I made in my previous post, here’s what’s been accomplished:
I’m currently working with Tim Chase to learn the ins and outs of content management systems, along with reading through PHP & MySQL for Dummies. This is extremely valuable knowledge that will come in handy (read into that what you will) once I learn what I’m doing.

I spent the greater part of this afternoon working on a few web projects. I’m giving the Distinct Impressions site a facelift, finishing work on the Brad’s Music Center website, and I’m still toying with ideas for my personal site.
I’ve decided to bring back an old design for my personal site. I’m reworking the color scheme, but other than that, it’ll be the same as it used to be. Now that I’ve got a little CSS under my belt, I figured I could make that site design work much better than it worked originally. I’m not sure how long it’ll take me to finish - other “paying” projects really need to take priority at this point.
Here’s what’s on the agenda:
• Finish work on new LBB site (already up-and-running)
• Distinct Impressions face lift and update
• Ky Co-ed Pageant site update
• Launch Brad’s Music Center site
• Work on site design ideas for Willie Ray (personal trainer)
• Work on site design ideas for Wireless Blue
• Launch new Saxton’s Cornet Band site
• New CLS site design (already in-the-works)
This looks like a lot, but it actually won’t take too long to do all of this. Most of these are near completion, or I’ve already got an idea of what I want to do. Here’s to hoping I can finish the list this week…..
