About
I’m a 27 year old Christian from Frankfort, Kentucky. I’m also a web & graphic designer, drummer, son & brother.
I was born in Lexington, Kentucky on February 11, 1980. At the time, my parents lived in their hometown of Maysville, Kentucky. This is where I spent the first few years of my life.
Before I started school, we moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. I started school at Summit Elementary, and finished kindergarten and first grade there. I loved Cincinnati - mainly because I was a big baseball fan, and my favorite team was the Cincinnati Reds.
After finishing first grade, my family moved to Frankfort, Kentucky. I have lived here for twenty years, so I consider this my hometown. I attended Bridgeport Elementary (second and third grades) and Elkhorn Elementary (fourth and fifth grades). From there, I went to Elkhorn Middle School, where I first started playing the drums. After junior high, I attended Franklin County High School, where I was a member of the band and baseball team all four years, and various other clubs along the way.
I decided to attend Georgetown College, where I was able to play baseball as well as participate in the band. After two years, I decided to quit baseball and focus on academics and music. I became involved with several bands and music groups during this time - the Capital City Community Band, Saxton’s Cornet Band, Lexington Brass Band, Central Kentucky Concert Band, Alluvion, Permanent Daylight, along with ensembles at Georgetown College. Also during this time, I discovered my passion for audio recording and web & graphic design. I landed an internship with Kevin Johnson at what used to be Planet III Studios in Versailles, Kentucky. On the side, I developed and maintained websites for myself, and a couple of the above-mentioned bands.
After graduating from Georgetown, I came back to Frankfort and started my life in the “real world.” My first “real job” was working as a Records Specialist for the Kentucky Department of Corrections. After a year and a half, I moved on to a graphic design position with CLS Screen Printing & Embroidery, where I’m still employed.
On the side, I started my business in 2002 - Brian Andrew Dodson, LLC. My audio recording name was Aquarius Records, and my web design name was BADesign. Both of these names eventually combined to form what is now known as BADmedia.
In 2003, my life changed forever when I decided to accept Christ as my Lord and Savior. Because of His light, I now have the opportunity to use my God-given talents and abilities to glorify Him in all that I do.
Life is good.
