Amos & Ben

While watching Six Degrees on ABC last night, I heard a song in the background.  I recognized the voice, but had never heard the song.  I went to the iTunes Store and was pleased to find out that Amos Lee’s new album, Supply and Demand had been released.  I’ve blogged about Amos Lee in the past (calling him the male version of Norah Jones).

The new album holds true to his folk songwriting style, but I was pleased that it’s a bit more upbeat than his last (very mellow) album.  He’s definitely one of my favorite artists, and doesn’t seem to be very well known just yet.  I highly recommend checking him out.

While on the iTunes Store, I browsed around a bit and came across Ben Taylor - the son of James Taylor and Carly Simon.  I downloaded his latest album, and I like it a lot so far.  Let me say that he sounds a LOT like his father - almost a little weird at times.  I’m sure he may have hints of his mother’s singing style too, but I’ve never really listened to Carly Simon.

Good stuff.

  1. I haven’t ever really listened to Amos Lee but I came across Ben Taylor a few years ago and I really like his stuff.
