Bible Memorization

with one comment

One thing about my Scripture reading that has been seriously lacking is memorization. Yesterday, I made it a goal to memorize a passage. I was somewhat impressed how quickly it stuck with me. So… here it is, typed out from memory:

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases
His mercies never come to an end
They are new every morning
Great is Your faithfulness
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”

From my current favorite book of the Bible, Lamentations 3:22-24 (ESV).

  1. I have been reading in Lamentations lately as well. I am trying to preach from the Old Testament this year every opportunity that I get and I will be preaching from Lamentations in a couple of weeks. Cool!
