Must Be a Weekend Thing

with one comment

Since returning from Crossings a few weeks back, I’ve experienced on three occasions something I can’t explain. Maybe it’s exhaustion, I’m not sure. All I know is I get to a point where I absolutely have to go to sleep. I’m normally good at fighting through being tired if I have to get some things done. Not with this. It’s an overwhelming tired that shuts my body down. I have no choice in the matter.

It happened the Sunday after Crossings, last Saturday and again tonight. The first time it happened, I was at home trying to do laundry and each time I got up to throw in a new load, or try to fold a finished load, all I wanted to do was lay back down. I’d say I got in a couple of hours sleep that afternoon. Last Saturday was the worst case. I probably slept for four or five hours. Each time I’d wake up and try to start doing things, with no luck. I’d have to lay back down and go to sleep. Tonight’s case resulted in a three hour nap.

I know it’s not mono - if it was, the “naps” would be more frequent and for much longer periods. Overall, I’m not any more busy than usual. In fact, my schedule has been fairly open the last few weeks. Maybe it’s just a case of getting older and needing more sleep. Not sure. If anyone out there has any input, feel free to post a comment.

  1. Hum…maybe it’s time to go get a physical!
Get yourself checked out to make sure it isn’t a physical problem.
Take care of yourself, God only created one of you and I personally want you healthy and happy. :-)
