I've seen several comments around the blogosphere about how we must have worked really hard to slip in under the ESV Study Bible and get out ahead of them, but really our development process had been going on since 2001. As for a review copy, I wish I could help you, but I'm just a lowly editor. I didn't even get my copy until dozens of blog reviews had already come out! My first glimpse of an actual bound copy of the NLTSB was on Nick Norelli's blog. :) Andrew,

We'd had a September 2008 release date planned for several months before we even heard of an ESV Study Bible in development. The proximity of the release dates is probably not something either publisher would have planned, but I know Tyndale's release plans (including the online version) were completely unaffected by what Crossway was doing.
