No Reds Game

with 2 comments

I had tickets to tonight’s Reds game, but ended up not going.  To make a long story short, the person I was supposed to go with left me hanging until the last minute and everyone else had plans.  Rather than waste a lot of time & gas getting up Cincinnati (and being rushed getting there), I decided to get rid of my tickets and stay home.

I don’t regret not going.  The game was delayed by rain, and there was another rain delay after the sixth inning.  The only bright spot would’ve been watching Greg Maddux pitch in his debut for the L.A. Dodgers.  He had a no-hitter through six innings, but left the game following the rain delay.  Scott Hatteburg broke up the no-hitter in the seventh inning, but the Reds still lost 3-0.

Oh well.  There will be more opportunities to go to Reds games.  And, hopefully, willing people to go with me.
