Not Getting Sick
With the temperature changes that we’ve experienced the last few weeks, it seems as though everyone is coming down with a cold, or something worse. I’ve been lucky so far - I think I dodged a bullet last week. To this end, I’d like to present some words of wisdom from my college band director - Dr. Pete LaRue. This is what I like to call “Dr. Pete’s Common Sense Methods to Prevent Sickness.” I generally do all of these, and for the most part, I stay fairly healthy (I honestly don’t remember the last time I went to the doctor because of sickness).
1. Wash your hands.
2. Get some sleep.
3. Eat something.
4. Drink orange juice.
5. Take vitamins.
