Post Office Etiquette

without comments

I’ve always wondered something…

I go to the post office every few weeks to mail CDs to customers. The row of parking spots closest to the building is almost always empty. Am I right in thinking these are prime parking spots? They’re right next to the door. However, I see other cars pulling in, and they always park two or three rows back. Why? Am I missing out on post office etiquette? Are the front row spots reserved for elderly people? People with really heavy packages?

If someone could fill me in, I’d appreciate it.
