If all things in scripture were as plain as the noses on our faces, what need would there be to read and study His word? We grow in Him by seeking Him out and by pouring ourselfs into His word. It is then that we discover the meaning of what He is trying to reveal to us. We gain the "Wisdom" and "Knowledge" He speaks about in Psalms and Proverbs. Not everything is plain and simple but oh how sweet it is when the light bulb comes on and His word is revealed to us as He planned.

Hey...awesome quote! I agree by the way. This debate was put to rest for me when I was about your age. I took class at NKU called "The Bible as Literature" which I thought was intriguing and would offer some excellent debate. Little did I know that God was going to use that course to put my mind at rest. My professor stood in front of the class early in the semester and said, "Through this course I want you to understand that God is incomprehensible. We do not need to ask why. It is our sinful nature that keeps us from fully understanding God. We are to believe as a child...it's as simple as that." It was at then that I realized I was too fixed on me and the questions I had about God rather than just believing with my whole heart...and mind. I'm glad you've come to rest in God...it is sweet!
